Procedures for securing documents for foreigners entering Vietnam for work or trade.
Procedures and documents to apply for official entry to Vietnam in the categories of trade, labor and investment
- Legal document regarding application for immigration documents for foreigners entering Vietnam for work, trade or investment purposes.
– Law No. 47/2014/QH2013 – Law on the entry, exit, transit and residence of foreigners in Vietnam
– Visa application form for foreign nationals, circular number 04/2015/TT-BCA regulating temporary residence visas
- Foreigner entry letter application documents
– A certified copy of the operating license of the company or organization (business registration, investment license, operating license for branches, representative offices, etc.)
– Sample declaration of seal and signature of the legal representative of the company or organization under Form NA16

Step 1 – Document Preparation : The guarantor completes the declaration form prepared in Section 1 above, and the legal representative of the company or organization signs and seals it as prescribed.

Step 2 – Submit your application and receive your appointment letter.
・For direct submission:

To apply for an online immigration officer, companies must register an electronic account on the National Civil Service Portal and the Ministry of Public Security Civil Service Portal. The declaration for applying for an immigration officer must follow the instructions on the public service portal. After declaring a company, the organization must sign an electronic signature to complete.
Step 3 – Get the results of the entry dispatch.
– For direct submissions, the Immigration Department will send the results directly back to businesses and organizations 5 business days after the date of submission of valid and complete documents .
– For online visa applications, the results will be returned to your electronic account. Businesses log in and enter dispatch Download the file. For official embassy faxes , corporate faxes must be obtained directly from the Immigration Bureau. H
Step 4: – Notify foreign nationals : Once the company’s entry approval results are available, the organization shall notify foreign nationals that they have completed the application process for an immigration officer at the Immigration Bureau. In this case, the company forwards the official documents to the foreign national (which can be sent by email, fax, or courier) and ensures that the foreign national follows the instructions in Step 5 below .
Step 5 – Obtain your visa and pay the fee.
Visa applicants must complete and submit Form NA1 with 3cmx4cm photo affixed + original passport + copy of entry letter approved by the Immigration Bureau + visa application fee ( at the Immigration Bureau ) at the visa collection point. .
