How can I check my foreign experience?
- For specialist positions, the experience certificate must show that: The foreigner is a professional with training in Vietnam suitable for the job the foreign worker is expected to work in. Have at least 3 years of work experience in the job. Or have at least 5 years of experience and a practice certificate suitable for the position in which the foreign worker is expected to work in Vietnam .
- For technical workers, the experience certificate must show: Foreign nationals who have been trained for at least one year in a technical or other major and have worked for at least three years in the specialized field in which they were trained. Or have at least 5 years of work experience according to the type of job the foreign worker is expected to work in Vietnam .
- What is new in Decree 152/2020/ND-CP compared to the old regulations is that foreigners can use old work permits issued in Vietnam in place of work experience certificates .
Can foreigners apply for criminal records in Vietnam?
Currently, when foreigners obtain a work permit and work in Vietnam, there are two ways to create a criminal record:
- To apply for a criminal record, please contact the ambassador of the country where you hold Vietnamese citizenship .
- To apply for Criminal Record Card Number 01, contact your state’s Department of Justice .
20 days to issue a criminal record card , so if you need a work permit, you should take the above time into account to avoid delays.
Work permit documents for foreigners include:
- Written approval of the need to hire foreign workers .
- Health certificate for foreigners .
- Criminal history of foreigners .
- A notarized copy of the foreigner’s passport .
- A copy of the foreign employer’s business license .
- Documents and documents proving that they are managers, managers, professionals, technical workers, and specific professions and jobs .
- For foreign workers who are specialists: have a university degree or equivalent, and have at least 3 years of professional training that is appropriate for the job that the foreign worker intends to engage in.
